India’s diverse and pluralistic society is based on the foundational values of mutual respect, equality, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence. However, building a truly inclusive and discrimination-free nation remains a challenge, particularly when it comes to the empowerment of the most marginalized communities — Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women and children, LGBTQ+ individuals, and sex workers.

At Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti (DVAS), we are fully committed to transforming these realities. Through a rights-based and community-led approach, we aim to promote inclusive development that ensures equality, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Our initiatives focus on strengthening the internal capacities of marginalized individuals mentally and educationally, developing skills, entrepreneurship, and managerial competencies so they can actively participate in the development process. Inclusive education, sustainable livelihoods, gender equality, justice, mental health, and nutrition remain central to our programs.

DVAS fosters social empowerment and grassroots leadership, promoting holistic development and resilience in vulnerable and marginalized communities. Through structured planning and collective action, we strive to remove structural barriers and ensure self-reliance, empowered voices, and participation at all levels among socially deprived populations.

I sincerely thank our Governing Board, General Body, Advisory Trustees, thematic partners, and donors for their continuous guidance and support. I also express heartfelt gratitude to every member of the DVAS team for their tireless efforts, passion, and dedication to our shared mission.
