Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti (DVAS) is a community-based non-profit organization committed to building an inclusive and equitable society. Through grassroots empowerment and sustainable initiatives, we strive to transform lives and promote social justice.
Established with the goal of uplifting marginalized and excluded communities, DVAS works at the intersection of social justice, equality, and empowerment. From small beginnings rooted in Bihar, our work has expanded to multiple regions, influencing policy, community development, and leadership building among Dalits, women, youth, and minorities.
We believe that lasting social transformation begins when communities themselves become the architects of their development. By promoting access to education, livelihood, rights awareness, and environmental sustainability, DVAS ensures that empowerment reaches every doorstep.
DVAS started as a grassroots initiative focused on Dalit rights and education in rural Bihar. It began with just a handful of volunteers committed to social justice.
Over the next decade, our efforts expanded into women’s empowerment, skill training, and community health. Partnerships with local organizations strengthened our outreach.
DVAS integrated the UN Sustainable Development Goals into its programs, focusing on inclusive education, gender equality, and climate resilience across vulnerable regions.
We continue to work across multiple states, building networks of empowered communities who advocate for their rights and drive change from within.
